Give up coffee for 30 days

This is a great (and short) talk by Matt Cutts from Google where he talks about a great approach to cultivating good habits. Just try something for 30 days. The thinking is that it’s a short enough time that it’s not overwhelming, but long enough to appreciate, and potentially extend, the new behaviour.

This can be applied to giving up coffee, and for me it makes sense. I want to see what life is like without coffee, but it’s scary to think I’ll never have it again. Giving coffee up for 30 days is achievable, and you’re sure to feel less addicted at the end of the 30 days. After that you can decide whether you want to continue or not.

The talk is just 3 and a half minutes and it might also inspire you in other parts of your life.
